Arkansas High School Baseball - West Side nips Mt. Vernon-Enola

April 18, 2024: Mt. Vernon, AR 72111

West Side Eagles (Greers Ferry, AR) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks (Mt. Vernon, AR), 8-7 in a non-league test.

With the win, West Side upgrades its record to 19-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Norfork (Norfork, AR) to battle the Panthers in a 1A Region 2 test on Friday, April 19. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 14-8. Norfork won 7-0 in their recent league test against Shirley (Shirley, AR)

With the defeat, Mt. Vernon-Enola falls to 8-13 on the season. The Warhawks travel to Cedar Ridge (Newark, AR) to battle the Timberwolves in a 2A Region 2 battle on Friday, April 19. The Timberwolves enter the battle with a record of 14-7.
