The Altamont Indians softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Vandalia Vandals to 6 in the Indians non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Altamont moves its record to 10-6 on the year. The Indians host Neoga (Neoga, IL) to clash with the Indians in a National Trail game on Monday, April 22. The Indians come into the game with a record of 1-11. Neoga lost 9-3 in their recent non-league game against Martinsville (Martinsville, IL)

In their next game, the Vandals clash with the Carlinville Cavaliers (Carlinville, IL) in a South Central game, on Friday, April 19. Vandalia will attempt to move on its 0-15 season record. The Cavaliers come into the game with a 15-3 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Southwestern (Piasa, IL).
