Illinois High School Softball - Cerro Gordo/Bement topped by Arcola

The Arcola Purple Riders softball team scored 22 runs and limited the host Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos to 1 in the Purple Riders league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Arcola moves its record to 4-6 on the year. The Purple Riders travel to Cumberland (Toledo, IL) to clash with the Pirates in a Lincoln Prairie game on Saturday, April 20. The Pirates come into the game with a record of 6-10. Cumberland lost 5-2 in their recent league game against Argenta-Oreana (Argenta, IL)

In their next game, the Broncos clash with the Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans (Kansas, IL) in a Lincoln Prairie game, on Saturday, April 20. Cerro Gordo/Bement will attempt to move on its 1-9 season record. The Titans come into the game with a 6-11 record after their 9-3 league loss to Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond (Arthur, IL).
