Barnwell Warhorses (Barnwell, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans (Monetta, SC), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Warhorses now sport a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hampton County for a AA Region 6 challenge on Friday, April 19. Barnwell will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 20-0 league loss to Woodland (Dorchester, SC). The Hurricanes record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Ridge Spring-Monetta falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Wagener-Salley (Wagener, SC) to face the War Eagles in a A Region 4 challenge on Monday, April 22. The War Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 10-7. Wagener-Salley won 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Williston-Elko (Williston, SC)
