In Thursday's non-league contest, the Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL) softball team the visiting Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL), by a margin of 5-3.

With the triumph, Reed-Custer moves its record to 9-6 on the year. The Comets travel to Marquette (Ottawa, IL) to play the Crusaders in a non-league contest on Friday, April 19. The Crusaders come into the contest with a record of 7-3.
