Blackford Bruins (Hartford City, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Elwood Panthers (Elwood, IN), 23-6 in a league challenge.

The Bruins now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Fort Wayne Wayne for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. Blackford will battle a Generals squad coming off a 18-6 non-league win over Fort Wayne South Side (Fort Wayne, IN). The Generals record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Elwood falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Eastern (Greentown, IN) to battle the Comets in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Eastern won 18-2 in their recent league challenge against Sheridan (Sheridan, IN)
