Boonville Pioneers (Boonville, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IN), 4-2 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heritage Hills for a Pocket challenge on Friday, April 19. Boonville will battle a Patriots squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to Tell City (Tell City, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 6-2.

With the loss, Princeton falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Barr-Reeve (Montgomery, IN) to battle the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 5-2. Barr-Reeve won 9-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Forest Park (Ferdinand, IN)
