Columbus East Olympians (Columbus, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Seymour Owls (Seymour, IN), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Olympians now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Shelbyville for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. Columbus East will battle a Golden Bears squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Franklin Community (Franklin, IN). The Golden Bears record now stands at 7-4.

With the loss, Seymour falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Owls host Silver Creek (Sellersburg, IN) to battle the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. The Dragons enter the challenge with a record of 11-4. Silver Creek won 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against New Albany (New Albany, IN)
