Dorman Cavaliers (Roebuck, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Cavaliers now sport a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they host Ninety Six for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. Dorman will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Hillcrest falls to 3-10 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Mauldin (Mauldin, SC) to face the Mavericks in a AAAAA Region 1 challenge on Friday, April 19. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a record of 2-8. Mauldin lost 17-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Boiling Springs (Spartanburg, SC)
