Ohio High School Softball - Elgin bounces Ridgemont

The Elgin Comets routed the visiting Ridgemont Golden Gophers softball squad by a final score of 9-2 in Thursday's league battle.

The Comets (1-11) will now prepare for their battle against Centerburg (Centerburg, OH). The Trojans go into the non-league battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Centerburg was routed by Cardington-Lincoln (Cardington, OH), 5-2, in a league battle.

The Golden Gophers now possess a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Perry for a Northwest Central battle on Friday, April 19. Ridgemont will meet a Commodores squad coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Botkins (Botkins, OH). The Commodores record now stands at 3-6.
