The Hector Wildcats softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Western Yell County Wolverines to 2 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Hector moves its record to 8-9 on the year. The Wildcats host St. Joseph (Conway, AR) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Monday, April 22. The Bulldogs come into the game with a record of 6-16.

In their next game, the Wolverines clash with the Danville Little Johns (Danville, AR) in a non-league game, on Friday, April 19. Western Yell County will attempt to move on its 5-10 season record. The Little Johns come into the game with a 0-13 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Perryville (Perryville, AR).
