Meridian Mustangs (Sanford, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Heritage Hawks (Saginaw, MI), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Harrison for a Jack Pine challenge on Saturday, April 20.

With the loss, Heritage falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Central (Bay City, MI) to battle the Wolves in a Saginaw Valley challenge on Monday, April 22. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 3-2. Central won 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Carman-Ainsworth (Flint, MI)
