The New Prairie Cougars softball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Knox Redskins to 5 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, New Prairie moves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Cougars travel to Chesterton (Chesterton, IN) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league game on Saturday, April 20. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 4-10. Chesterton won 14-0 in their recent league game against Merrillville (Merrillville, IN)

In their next game, the Redskins clash with the Winamac Warriors (Winamac, IN) in a Hoosier North game, on Friday, April 19. Knox will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 4-3 record after their 5-4 non-league win over West Central (Francesville, IN).
