In Thursday's non-league contest, the Temple Christian Crusaders (Madison Heights, VA) softball team held off the visiting Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA), by a margin of 7-6.

With the triumph, Temple Christian moves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Crusaders host Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA) to play the Trojans in a non-league contest on Monday, April 22. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 7-4. Tunstall lost 8-0 in their recent non-league contest against Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA)

In their next game, the Mavericks play the St. Margaret's Scotties (Tappahannock, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 19. Miller School of Albemarle will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Scotties come into the contest with a 0-5 record after their 19-0 league loss to St. Catherine's (Richmond, VA).
