In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Middletown Islanders lacrosse squad scored a tight 7-6 triumph over the South Kingstown Rebels.

The Islanders (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Smithfield (Esmond, RI). The Sentinels go into the Division 2 challenge with a 1-7 record. In their last challenge, Smithfield held off Bangor (Bangor, ME), 11-5, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Rebels clash with the Bishop Hendricken Hawks (Warwick, RI) in a Division 1 (State) challenge, on Wednesday, April 23. South Kingstown will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Hawks go into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 18-6 non-league win over Smithfield (Esmond, RI).
