The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) and the visiting Argenta-Oreana Bombers (Argenta, IL), observed LeRoy's softball team get by Argenta-Oreana by a tally of 5-1.

The Panthers (18-1) will now prepare for their bout against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL). The Falcons go into the Heart of Illinois bout with a 8-8 record. In their last bout, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley tipped Milford (Milford, IL), 15-6, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bombers clash with the Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos (Cerro Gordo, IL) in a Lincoln Prairie bout, on Monday, April 21. Argenta-Oreana will attempt to advance on its 6-9 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 18-3 league loss to Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL).
