In Friday's non-league test, the Batavia Bulldogs (Batavia, IL) softball squad got by the visiting Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL), by a tally of 4-3.
Next, the Bulldogs clash with the De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, April 19. Batavia will attempt to advance on its 3-9 season record. The Meteors go into the test with a 12-4 record after their 4-3 league win over IC Catholic Prep (Elmhurst, IL).
The Norsemen (8-10) will now prepare for their test against Seneca (Seneca, IL). The Fighting Irish go into the non-league test with a 13-0 record. In their last test, Seneca held off Wilmington (Wilmington, IL), 13-6, in a non-league test.
