The Bourbon County Colonels softball team scored 2 runs and held the visiting Mason County Royals to 0 in the Colonels non-league win on Friday.

The Colonels now possess a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to George Rogers Clark for a District 40 battle on Tuesday, April 22. Bourbon County will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 7-2 non-league loss to Tates Creek (Lexington, KY). The Cardinals record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, Mason County moves to 5-10 on the season. The Royals travel to East Carter (Grayson, KY) to confront the Raiders in a non-league battle on Saturday, April 19. The Raiders come into the battle with a record of 15-4. East Carter won 15-0 in their recent league battle against Morgan County (West Liberty, KY)
