Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY) supporters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host South Spencer Rebels (Rockport, IN), 4-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Hancock County improves its record to 6-6 on the year. The Hornets travel to Castle (Newburgh, IN) to face the Knights in a non-league game on Monday, April 21. The Knights enter the game with a record of 4-8. Castle lost 13-1 in their recent non-league game against Daviess County (Owensboro, KY)

The Rebels now hold a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Evansville Reitz for a non-league game on Wednesday, April 23. South Spencer will face a Panthers squad coming off a 8-7 non-league win over Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN). The Panthers record now stands at 4-6.
