The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) and the host Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), observed Metamora's softball team prevail over Illinois Valley Central by a tally of 13-3.

The Redbirds (13-4) will now prepare for their bout against Rock Island (Rock Island, IL). The Rocks go into the non-league bout with a 10-4 record. In their last bout, Rock Island knocked off Quincy (Quincy, IL), 1-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Grey Ghosts clash with the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 19. Illinois Valley Central will attempt to advance on its 10-6 season record. The Bruins go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 13-11 non-league loss to Zeigler-Royalton (Zeigler, IL).
