In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Alexander Central Cougars baseball team scored a nice 10-0 victory over the Newton-Conover Red Devils.
The Cougars (16-2) will now prepare for their game against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 11-8 record. In their last game, Hibriten overcame Hickory (Hickory, NC), 11-10, in a non-league game.
The Red Devils (5-11) will now prepare for their game against West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Rebels go into the non-league game with a 8-11 record. In their last game, West Lincoln was overwhelmed by Foard (Newton, NC), 11-1, in a non-league game.
