In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting McMichael Phoenix baseball team scored a tight 5-2 victory over the Eastern Guilford Wildcats.
The Phoenix (16-2) will now prepare for their game against The Burlington School (Burlington, NC). The Spartans go into the non-league game with a 14-3 record. In their last game, The Burlington School tipped Gaston Day (Gastonia, NC), 14-0, in a non-league game.
