North Carolina High School Baseball - Porter Ridge gets by Lake Norman

Spectators at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC) and the visiting Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC), observed Porter Ridge's baseball squad beat Lake Norman by a margin of 7-4.

Coming up next, the Pirates encounter the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) in a Southern Carolina 4A contest, on Tuesday, April 26. Porter Ridge will attempt to better on its 13-5 season record. The Spartans come into the contest with a 17-2 record after their 14-3 non-league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC).

The Wildcats now sport a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to East Rowan for a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 20. Lake Norman will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 10-3 league win over West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-3.
