The Alcoa Tornadoes soccer team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Powell Panthers to 2 in the Tornadoes non-league victory on Tuesday.
Next, the Tornadoes face the Pigeon Forge Tigers (Pigeon Forge, TN) in a 1A District 2 contest, on Thursday, April 21. Alcoa will attempt to better on its 4-4 season record. The Tigers enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 7-6 non-league win over Gibbs (Corryton, TN).
The Panthers now have a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they host Knoxville Central for a 3A District 3 contest on Thursday, April 21. Powell will face a Bobcats team coming off a 9-1 league loss to West (Knoxville, TN). The Bobcats record now stands at 6-4.
