Northwest Mohawks (McDermott, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Clay Panthers (Portsmouth, OH), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Mohawks now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Waverly for a Southern Ohio II challenge on Wednesday, April 20.

With the loss, Clay falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Vinton County (McArthur, OH) to face the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 20.
