In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Iola Mustangs (Iola, KS) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Osawatomie Trojans (Osawatomie, KS), by a margin of 14-4.
With the triumph, Iola moves its record to 1-1 on the year. The Mustangs host Wellsville (Wellsville, KS) to play the Eagles in a Pioneer contest on Tuesday, May 3. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 6-3.
In their next game, the Trojans play the Louisburg Wildcats (Louisburg, KS) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 21. Osawatomie will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 1-8 record after their 7-3 non-league loss to Ottawa (Ottawa, KS).
