Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA), 6-0 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Squalicum for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Friday, April 22. Nooksack Valley will battle a Storm squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Blaine (Blaine, WA). The Storm record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Lakewood falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA) to battle the Cubs in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Thursday, April 21. The Cubs enter the challenge with a record of 8-1. Sedro-Woolley won 16-7 in their recent league challenge against Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA)
