The Lakewood Cougars baseball team (Arlington, WA), was overwhelmed 13-4 in Wednesday's league outing with the host Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA)
The Bulldogs now hold a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Anacortes for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest outing on Friday, April 21. Mount Vernon will confront a Seahawks team coming off a 7-4 league win over Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA). The Seahawks record now stands at 9-1.
Next, the Cougars confront the Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest outing, on Friday, April 21. Lakewood will attempt to advance on its 3-8 season record. The Pioneers go into the outing with a 3-8 record after their 9-8 league loss to Blaine (Blaine, WA).
