In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Marion Wildcats baseball team scored a tight 11-10 victory over the Sikeston Bulldogs.
The Wildcats (11-9) will now prepare for their game against Goreville (Goreville, IL). The Blackcats go into the non-league game with a 8-5 record. In their last game, Goreville tipped Trico (Campbell Hill, IL), 3-2, in a league game.
The Bulldogs (2-12) will now prepare for their game against Central (Cape Girardeau, MO). The Tigers go into the Class 5 District 1 game with a 6-8 record.
