In Wednesday's non-league battle, the host Kellis Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Metro Tech Knights.

The Cougars (9-9) will now prepare for their battle against Ironwood (Glendale, AZ). The Eagles come into the 5A Northwest battle with a 26-7 record. In their last battle, Ironwood lost by Sunrise Mountain (Peoria, AZ), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Knights clash with the Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ) in a 5A Metro battle, on Thursday, April 20. Metro Tech will attempt to advance on its 10-6 season record. The Stampede come into the battle with a 6-8 record after their 3-1 league win over South Mountain (Phoenix, AZ).
