Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA), 5-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Hornets confront the Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) in a Liberty challenge, on Thursday, April 20. Herndon will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Saxons enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Justice (Falls Church, VA).

The Lions now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Braddock for a Patriot challenge on Monday, April 24. Fairfax will confront a Bruins team coming off a 2-1 league win over West Springfield (Springfield, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 1-4.
