Atlee Raiders (Mechanicsville, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Godwin Eagles (Richmond, VA), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 7-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Patrick Henry for a Capital challenge on Friday, April 21. Atlee will face a Patriots squad coming off a 19-4 non-league win over Hermitage (Richmond, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Godwin falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA) to face the Jaguars in a Colonial challenge on Friday, April 21. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 7-1. Glen Allen won 12-0 in their recent league challenge against J.R. Tucker (Henrico, VA)
