In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Fort Mill Yellow Jackets softball team scored a close 8-6 win over the Buford Yellowjackets.
Next, the Yellow Jackets face the Clover Blue Eagles (Clover, SC) in a AAAAA Region 3 challenge, on Friday, April 21. Fort Mill will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Blue Eagles enter the challenge with a 13-5 record after their 5-3 non-league loss to James F. Byrnes (Duncan, SC).
With the loss, Buford falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Central (Pageland, SC) to face the Eagles in a AA Region 5 challenge on Friday, April 21. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. Central lost 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lewisville (Richburg, SC)
