In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Red Bud Musketeers (Red Bud, IL) softball team held off the host Columbia Eagles (Columbia, IL), by a margin of 1-0.
With the triumph, Red Bud moves its record to 14-6 on the year. The Musketeers host Steeleville (Steeleville, IL) to play the Warriors in a non-league contest on Thursday, April 20. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 1-10. Steeleville lost 4-3 in their recent non-league contest against DuQuoin (DuQuoin, IL)
In their next game, the Eagles play the Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, April 21. Columbia will attempt to move on its 9-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 8-3 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Chester (Chester, IL).
