In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Hamilton County Foxes (McLeansboro, IL) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Woodlawn Cardinals (Woodlawn, IL), by a margin of 8-1.

With the triumph, Hamilton County moves its record to 8-8 on the year. The Foxes travel to Edwards County (Albion, IL) to play the Lions in a Black Diamond East contest on Tuesday, April 25. The Lions come into the contest with a record of 8-7.

In their next game, the Cardinals play the Wayne City Indians (Wayne City, IL) in a Mid-South contest, on Monday, April 24. Woodlawn will attempt to move on its 8-9 season record. The Indians come into the contest with a 2-9 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Zeigler-Royalton (Zeigler, IL).
