In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves softball team scored a close 4-3 triumph over the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings.
With the triumph, Thornton Fractional South moves its record to 10-7 on the year. The Red Wolves host Chicago Washington (Chicago, IL) to play the Patriots in a non-league contest on Friday, April 21. The Patriots come into the contest with a record of 4-4.
In their next game, the Vikings play the Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban contest, on Thursday, April 20. Homewood-Flossmoor will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record.
