Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Housatonic Mountaineers (Falls Village, CT), 10-2 in a league challenge.

The Bears now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Housatonic-Wamogo for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 19. Thomaston will battle a Mountaineers squad coming off a 6-3 non-league loss to Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT). The Mountaineers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Housatonic falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Wamogo Regional (Litchfield, CT) to battle the Warriors in a Berkshire challenge on Wednesday, April 26. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 2-5.
