The Mallard Creek Mavericks softball team scored 9 runs and limited the host Robinson Bulldogs to 3 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Mallard Creek improves its record to 12-1 on the year. The Mavericks host Hough (Cornelius, NC) to clash with the Huskies in a Queen City 3A/4A game on Thursday, April 20. The Huskies come into the game with a record of 11-4. Hough won 17-0 in their recent league game against West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC)

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A game, on Friday, April 21. Robinson will attempt to improve on its 1-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 0-8 record after their 22-1 league loss to Robinson (Concord, NC).
