The Pima Roughriders softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Madison Highland Prep Heat to 6 in the Roughriders non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Pima moves its record to 9-10 on the year. The Roughriders host Morenci (Morenci, AZ) to clash with the Wildcats in a 2A East game on Monday, April 24. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 15-10. Morenci lost 13-0 in their recent league game against Benson (Benson, AZ)

In their next game, the Heat clash with the Phoenix Country Day Eagles (Paradise Valley, AZ) in a 2A Metro game, on Thursday, April 20. Madison Highland Prep will attempt to move on its 4-10 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 10-7 record after their 24-6 non-league loss to Tonopah Valley (Tonopah, AZ).
