The Newton Local Indians softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting Troy Christian Eagles to 6 in the Indians non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Newton Local improves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Indians travel to Tri-County North (Lewisburg, OH) to clash with the Panthers in a Western Ohio Athletic game on Thursday, April 20. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 9-3. Tri-County North won 19-1 in their recent league game against Dixie (New Lebanon, OH)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Milton-Union Bulldogs (West Milton, OH) in a Three Rivers game, on Thursday, April 20. Troy Christian will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the game with a 8-5 record after their 8-6 league win over Miami East (Casstown, OH).
