Maryland High School Softball - St. Mary's Ryken gets by Northern

The St. Mary's Ryken Knights got by the visiting Northern Patriots softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Knights (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD). The Falcons go into the Washington Catholic battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Our Lady of Good Counsel nudged St. John's (Washington, DC), 2-1, in a league battle.
The Patriots now sport a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to St. Charles for a Southern Maryland battle on Friday, April 21. Northern will meet a squad coming off a 12-5 league loss to North Point (Waldorf, MD). The record now stands at 3-6.
