Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Greenwood Gators (Bowling Green, KY) and the visiting Cumberland County Panthers (Burkesville, KY), saw Greenwood's baseball squad knock off Cumberland County by a count of 6-3.
Coming up next, the Gators play the Paul Laurence Dunbar Bulldogs (Lexington, KY) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, April 20. Greenwood will attempt to move on its 15-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 6-10 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY).
The Panthers now possess a 3-9 record. They take the field next when they host Russell County for a District 16 battle on Tuesday, April 23. Cumberland County will play a Lakers squad coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Adair County (Columbia, KY). The Lakers record now stands at 17-3.
