Nokomis Warriors (Newport, ME) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Gardiner Tigers (Gardiner, ME), 6-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Nokomis upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Lawrence (Fairfield, ME) to battle the Bulldogs in a Class B North test on Wednesday, April 24. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 2-0.

With the defeat, Gardiner falls to 0-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to Erskine Academy (South China, ME) to play the Eagles in a Class B South battle on Monday, April 22. The Eagles enter the battle with a record of 0-3. Erskine Academy lost 12-2 in their recent non-league battle against Cony (Augusta, ME)
