Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lakewood Cougars (Arlington, WA), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mountaineers now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Nooksack Valley for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. Mt. Baker will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 9-7 non-league win over Ferndale (Ferndale, WA). The Pioneers record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Lakewood falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Squalicum (Bellingham, WA) to face the Storm in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 23. The Storm enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Squalicum won 15-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Ferndale (Ferndale, WA)
