The Albemarle Patriots softball team scored 24 runs and limited the host Manassas Park Cougars to 15 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Albemarle moves its record to 3-6 on the year. The Patriots host Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA) to clash with the Warriors in a Jefferson game on Tuesday, April 23. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 2-5. Western Albemarle won 19-5 in their recent non-league game against Madison County (Madison, VA)

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Warren County Wildcats (Front Royal, VA) in a Northwestern game, on Tuesday, April 23. Manassas Park will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Wildcats come into the game with a 3-9 record after their 18-2 league loss to Brentsville District (Nokesville, VA).
