King's Academy Lions (Seymour, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Unaka Rangers (Elizabethton, TN), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 4-10 record. They take the field next when they host Eagleton College & Career Academy for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. King's Academy will battle a Royals squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Oneida (Oneida, TN). The Royals record now stands at 11-4.

With the loss, Unaka falls to 7-10 on the campaign. The Rangers host Patrick Henry (Glade Spring, VA) to battle the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 6-2. Patrick Henry won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA)
