South Gibson Hornets (Medina, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Loretto Mustangs (Loretto, TN), 8-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now own a 18-6 record. They take the field next when they host Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 19. South Gibson will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-3 league win over Wilson (Florence, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 22-14.

With the loss, Loretto falls to 4-4 on the season. The Mustangs host Central (Florence, AL) to meet the Wildcats in a non-league match on Saturday, April 20. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 23-15. Central lost 10-1 in their recent non-league match against South Gibson (Medina, TN)
