Mohonasen Warriors (Schenectady, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Voorheesville Blackbirds (Voorheesville, NY), 9-7 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Guilderland for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. Mohonasen will face a Flying Dutchmen squad coming off a 16-11 non-league win over Chatham (Chatham, NY). The Flying Dutchmen record now stands at 8-2.

With the loss, Voorheesville falls to 0-4 on the campaign. The Blackbirds host Galway (Galway, NY) to face the Golden Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Galway won 23-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Middleburgh (Middleburgh, NY)
