West Holmes Knights (Millersburg, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Philo Electrics (Duncan Falls, OH), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they host Minerva for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. West Holmes will battle a Lions squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to West Branch (Beloit, OH). The Lions record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Philo falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Electrics travel to Maysville (Zanesville, OH) to battle the Panthers in a Muskingum Valley challenge on Monday, April 22. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 1-7. Maysville lost 19-13 in their recent league challenge against Coshocton (Coshocton, OH)
