The Blair Academy Bucs baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Newton Braves to 7 in the Bucs non-league win on Saturday.

The Bucs now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lawrenceville School for a Mid-Atlantic Prep test on Wednesday, April 23. Blair Academy will play a Big Red team coming off a 7-5 league loss to Hill School (Pottstown, PA). The Big Red record now stands at 2-6.

With the defeat, Newton drops to 5-5 on the year. The Braves host High Point (Sussex, NJ) to play the Wildcats in a NJAC - Freedom test on Monday, April 21. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 8-1. High Point won 6-0 in their recent non-league test against Morris Catholic (Denville, NJ)
